Getting Started With Quick Analytix

Quick Analytix provides an easy access to business entities to sign up into our business portal by providing the following information and we will create you a claimed site with company subdomain. Follow the following steps to create account.

  1. Open the following URL link
  2. Fill in your company name, personal information, business email and password.
  3. Claimed site with company subdomain will be shown below if not already exists.
  4. Agree the Quick Analytix terms of use and click signup to get started.
Request Quick Analytix Demo

Contact Quick Analytix sales and technical team for your demo request. Any business entity willing to use our platform or needed any support can submit a request here. Our team will provide you necessary assistance at your earliest. Follow the following steps to request for demo.

  1. Open the following URL to request for demo.
  2. Fill in your personal information, business email address, company name, contact number title and any request message.
  3. Click Send request button and demo request will be submitted along with confirmatory email.

Login with Quick Analytix Credentials

All business entities (Business Admin & customers) can sign in into the portal by providing their registered and verified business email addresses. Use the following steps to login into the BI portal.

  1. Click the following URL to redirect to sign in page.

  2. Enter your registered email address and password.
  3. Check "Remember me" to save your email and password in cookies to avoid entering credentials every time.
  4. Click login button and if authenticated will be redirected to their BI Portal.

Note: Your account will be locked after 5 invalid login attempts. Contact your administrator for suspended accounts.

Login with Office 365

Login with Office 365 provides an optional login access for customers only to use their registered Microsoft Azure Active Directory Account to login to Quick Analytix BI portal by clicking the "Sign In with Microsoft Account" button.

Note:For using Office 365 login user must be registered to their native company Microsoft Azure Directory Account. Following are the steps to login with Microsoft Account

  1. Click Login with Microsoft Button.

  4. Click Sign in button and user will be redirected to portal dashboard after successful authentication.

Forgot Password

As a registered user, you can reset a password if the password is forgotten, if the user gets locked out of a device, or if the user never received a password. Reset Password link is sent to registered email address after authentication. Follow the following steps to get rest password link.

  1. Clink the following URL to request for reset password
  2. Enter your registered email address to receive reset password link.

  4. Click Sign in button and user will be redirected to portal dashboard after successful authentication.

Note:Users created with login type Active Directory will request to their native company administrators for password reset request.

Creating a New User

After successful Business Intelligence Portal sign up business admin can create customers inside a company domain. Follow the following steps to create users in company account.

Step-1 User Details:

  1. Click on users tab from aside menu.img-responsive

  3. Click create user button at top right corner.Responsive image
  4. User Details are categorized into two sections (1) User Personal Details (2) User Rights
  5. User personal details includes user basic information. Fill in all the necessary information.Responsive image

Step-2 User Team Mapping:

  1. User team mapping involves user association with multiple teams at time of creation. User can also be mapped to a team from Team sub menu. Turn the switcher on and off for user team association.

  2. Note: user can skip this step if no teams are available in company and can map user team association from Teams sub menu later.

Step-3 Confirmation:

  1. A preview is provided after validated user information, user rights and team association are entered and ask for confirmation to create user. Click finish to create a new user.

  2. A confirmatory message is shown after successful user creation. User can click on create new user account to create another user or can click on finish button to redirect to users grid.

  3. A user creation confirmatory email is sent to the provided email address. Verify the user account by clicking on verification button.

Step-3 Confirmation:

  1. User Roles (1-Company Administrator 2-Client)
  2. Sign In Method (1-Quick Analytix login 2-Office 365)
  3. RLS Method (1-AD Account 2-Custom Login )
Edit Existing User Details

After successful user creation, following are the steps to update existing user details.

Step-1 User Details:

  1. Click on users tab from aside menu.

User Creation Status:

  1. Active Refers to user status is active and working.
  2. Inactive Refers to user status is inactive and user cannot access the portal.
  3. Unvarified Refers to user status is created but not verified through email verification link.
  4. Suspended Refers to user status is suspended after 5 invalid login attempts.

Create Team

Following are the steps to create new team in company

Prerequisites: Once Power BI Teams and Users are configured. This process involves the association of users against a team.

Associate Pages

Step-1 Configure Power BI Profile

Business admin after successful company signup can setup Power BI and can integrate Power BI Dashboards, Reports and Pages in BI portal. Follow the following steps to integrate Power BI account details.

  1. Click on configration tab from aside menu.Responsive image
  2. List of Configured Power BI Profiles with default shown with a green active dot.Responsive image
  3. Click on Add Power BI Profile to add a Power BI Profile.Responsive image
  4. Fill in all the necessary information and click Save button to add Power BI ProfileResponsive image
  5. Power BI Profile Name (Display name for profile to shown in BI Portal)
  6. Power BI Application ID (Follow the following link to get Power BI Application ID)
  7. Username (Power BI account username)
  8. Password (Power BI account password)
  9. Turn switcher ON to set this profile as default.
  10. Note: One or more Power BI Profiles can be setup and can set one of them as default profile to access Power BI Embedded Information (Workspaces, Reports, and Pages Dashboard etc.).
Step-2 Configure Power BI Workspaces

Prerequisites:One or more Power BI Profiles should be setup before configuring Power BI Workspaces.

  1. Click on Power BI tab from aside menu.Responsive image
  2. Defualt Power BI Profile configured workspaces will be shown on page load.Responsive image
  3. Workspaces can be filtered out based on configured profile and available workspaces in it.Responsive image
  4. Click on Sync Power BI Profile button to get refreshed and sync latest Workspaces, Dashboards, Reports and Pages with in the respective Power BI Profile. Sync process will take some time to sync the updated items depending upon profile data. Responsive image
  5. List of available workspaces with their status (Live, Dead) along with their Power BI Capacity (Preview and Premium) is shown.Expand a workspace to view its available Dashboards and Reports. Responsive image
  6. Turn on the switcher to associate a workspace.Responsive image
  7. Click edit button to update workspace display name and assign available dedicated capacity. Click the refresh button to get latest dedicated capacity list. Assign workspace a dedicated capacity in case the preview is utilized 100% and will be notified as status with color red and capacity will be 100%.Responsive image
  8. Click the sync with Power BI button to sync Dashboards, Reports and Pages with in the respective workspace.Responsive image

Workspace Status Details:

  1. Live  refers to workspace is synced with Power BI and working.
  2. Live  refers to workspace premium capacity is utilized 100%. Enable premium capacity on workspace to render reports.
  3. Dead  refers to workspace doesn’t exist at Power BI account or malfunctioned.
  4.   refers to workspace is Power BI Premium Capacity enabled.
  5. 100% utilized  referes the utilized preview capacity for a workspace.
Step-3 Configure Power BI Reports

Prerequisites: One or more Power BI workspaces should be asssociated (Step-2). Following are the steps to configure Power BI reports against a associated workspace.

  1. Click on Power BI tab from aside menu.Responsive image
  2. Default configured Power BI Profile workspaces shown.Responsive image
  3. Expand a Power BI workspace to view its available reports. Reports with their counts, report level security and report status were shown in grid.Responsive image
  4. Turn on and off the switcher for multiple report association. Actions cannot be performed until switcher marked as associated.Responsive image
  5. Click on edit report button to update display name for BI Portal and update RLS method for respected report. RLS types details are mentioned at end.Responsive image
  6. Click on Sync to Power BI button to get the latest synced pages and bookmarks from Power BI against the respected report.

  7. Click on refresh data set button to refresh report dataset. Gets the latest and sync dataset from Power BI agianst the report.

  8. Click on refresh dataset history give the meta data of report dataset history. Refresh Type , refresh date and status(success or failed).

View Configured Bookmarks

Following are the steps to render configured report bookmarks associated to a team.

  1. Click on bookmarks tab in menu bar.

    1. Bookmarks (Report containing Bookmarks)
    2. Personal Bookmarks (Shared as Datastories)
  3. Level-1 hover down the Bookmarks and its associated bookmarks will we shown.

Personal Bookmarks

Shared and tagged datastories from other stake holders lie under Personal Bookmarks in Bookmarks menu. Following are the steps to render configured report bookmarks associated to a team.

  1. Click on bookmarks tab in menu bar.

  2. Level-1 hover down the Personal Bookmarks item and its associated Bookmarks will be shown.

  4. Level-2 hover down and click selected personal bookmark item. Bookmark detail is shown. A Personal bookmark is categorized into 1- Shared 2- Personal Bookmarks.

  5. Shared: Click the shared bookmark item to get its rendered view. Bookmark contains the name and expiry date. "New" keyword is for latest shared bookmarks and keeps for one day

Share Data Story

Sharing data stories empowers you to collaborate with external and internal stakeholders and share timeline stories for your custom visuals.Following are the steps to share data stories.

  1. Click on capture data story icon for any rendered report or page. Responsive image
  2. Fill in all the necessary information. Add data story name, description,multiselect audience (teams or individual users) and expiry date till which data story will be avialble to view. click on share button and recieve notification for succesful data story share. Responsive image
  3. Click bell icon in menu bar to view shared data story notification. Click on the any of the item to view shared data story details.

Create Custom Dashboard

Custom Dashboard creation facilities customers to create their own dashboard. Pin a single visual or pin a full page from different reports and pages, resize and drag the components as required. Following are the steps to pin visuals from multiple reports and pages to create custom personal dashboard.

Pin Complete Page:

  1. Select a report or a report page and get rendered view.

  2. Once report or page is rendered, click the pin to dashboard icon at top right corner.

Pin Page Visual:

  1. Report or page rendered view.

  2. Right click on page visual and click Pin to Dashboard option from dropdown.

  3. Pinned page visual successfully added to dashboard message recieved.

  4. Note: Warning message is prompted if page visual already exist on dashbaord.

Custom Dashboard Settings:

  1. Click on Quick Anlaytix Logo to get the custom dashboard page. By default dashboard page is rendered after successful login.

  2. Recently added visuals and pages shown as small tiles on dashboard.

  3. Hover down to setting icon on top right corner and click edit to rearrange, resize the added visuals and page as per customer requirement.

  4. Hold and resize a visuals or a page from the bottom (marked) place.Hold and drag the visual or a page to chagne position.

  5. Click remove background button to remove background from page or visual.

  6. Background removed success message and changed to white.

  7. Once pined visual and pages are resized and arranged, click the save button at top right to save layout changes.

  1. Click unpin icon button on right side of visual or page.
